Outdoor Summer Tablescape

Summertime is about creating all the memories and moments. Longer days, warm air, sunshine, fresh air, time spent with family and friends…. these are the moments that make up our life.

I try to create spaces that are welcoming yet still livable. I don’t want people to come over and be afraid to touch anything… this is a home after all- not a museum. In my outdoor spaces, I try to keep things a little more simple also.

You can easily add a few simple decor items to your outdoor spaces to help extend your living areas outside during the warmer summer months. Creating a space that is welcoming and cozy doesn’t have to break the bank. With some simple items, you can make your outdoor space something special and still stay on a budget.

I will link all the items at the bottom of this post for you.

I had so much fun planning and creating this outdoor tablescape and I want to tell you all about it so you can create a summer tablescape of your own!

A tablescape sets the mood for your gathering, event or party. Whether it’s a casual daytime gathering or a nighttime event you can make the space special with just simple items. Tablescapes are all about the layers. Normally for an indoor tablescape, I would use lots of layers -table runners, place mats, lots of greenery and garlands and accessories to really fill the table- but since this is for an outdoor space I wanted to keep things a little more simple and light- just like summer.

I created this tablescape with many items I already had on hand. The place mats, chargers, napkins, and dotted glasses are all items I have had and use all the time. I already had the outdoor lanterns and added in simple greenery and a new set of melamine plates. That is all I used to create this tablescape. I love the simple vibes for summer.

I hope I’ve inspired you to try your hand at a tablescape and I hope that this shows you that decorating your home does not have to be complicated or break the bank.
