I had spaghetti planned for dinner and my oldest asked for chicken parmigiana. I didn’t have a lot of time before dinner… so I created the same flavors using one of my kiddos favorites- chicken nuggets! You can use any chicken nuggets you like, we prefer the ones from Perdue or Applegate (not sponsored just sharing what we love).
This is easy to put together, only needs 5 ingredients and you can have it ready to go in about 30 minutes making it perfect for a weeknight meal idea.
You will need:
- 16 oz spaghetti noodles
- 18 chicken nuggets
- marinara sauce, 1 jar (this is our favorite sauce)
- shredded mozzarella cheese, 2 cups
- shredded Parmesan cheese, 1 cup
Directions:
- Cook chicken nuggets per package instructions.
- While nuggets are cooking, cook the pasta until al dente and drain.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13×9 casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Stir pasta and about 2/3 jar spaghetti sauce together and place in bottom of baking dish.
- Layer cooked chicken nuggets. I did 6 rows of 3.
- Add remaining spaghetti sauce over the top.
- Top with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
- We serve with a side of veggies and garlic bread. Enjoy!!!
