Area rugs can add warmth, texture and pops of color to your home. They can even be applied OVER carpet. Yes! I said over carpet. I use a special double sided rug pad (linked here) and that helps to prevent the buckling that can occur when you place the rug over carpet.

Area rugs are a great way to give a room a fresh new look and are so affordable nowadays. You can even play musical rugs within your home from time to time to give a space a new feel.

I have the Parkerfield in my kiddos playroom. It’s a long narrow space, so I actually combined two 4×6 rugs end to end and they fit perfect. I added carpet tape on the underside of the center seam between the two.

I will be sure to keep this updated if I change or add any new rugs!
